The `hld' files are the source files. The `tex' and `dvi' files are intermediary steps. You'll only be able to use them if you have `musixtex' and `neumes.mf' installed. The `ps' files are postscript versions of the final product. You should be able to view them on your screen or print them on a printer. The `gif' files are scaled down versions of the final files. You can look at them to get a feeling of what the printed sheet will look like, but if you can read them, then you've got better eyes than I do.
