The instrumentation here is: 2 piccolos (E and C), flute, oboe, clarinet (E), clarinet 1 & 2 (B), cornet (E), 1st cornet (B) (conductor), ripieno cornet, cornet 2, cornets 2/4 (all B), tenor (E), tenor 1-2 (E), baritone 1-2 (B), trombone 1-2 (B), bass trombone, euphonium (B), bombardon (E), bombardon, contrabass (B), drums
The Brass Band uses the above set without the piccolo, flute, oboe and clarinets.
In the Military Band, it would be customary for the the tenor (E) and baritone (B) parts to be played by alto and tenor saxophones.
