Italian organist and composer. In 1689 he studied keyboard and composition in Rome with Bernardo Pasquini. He was organist of S Maria in Trastevere and later maestro di cappella of S Lorenzo Martire in Sant'Oreste, to the north of Rome, until 1691. 1703 he became organist of the cathedral, a post he held until his death. He composed a quantity of music for both the church and the stage, but all his major works are lost.
