Johann Sebastian Bach Bach Werke Verzeichnis Catalogue -------------------------------- 2nd Edition !! Prepared by Charles Cave during March 1994 and updated in October, 1994. The first release of this database contained many typing errors, omissions and no umlaut translations. This second edition has been checked against Groves Dictionary and useful input received from several contributors, mostly in Germany. Thank you to all the people that contributed. Vielen dank! Please send any corrections to charles@jolt.mpx.com.au The file "jsbach.bwv" contains information about each work with fields separated by tab characters. The file can be opened with a spreadsheet program (such as Excel) or other database programs. The author maintains the database using Claris Works on an Apple Macintosh, and this file is available in Binhex format (hqx) from the author. I will upload it to an ftp site if there is sufficient demand. Record Layout ------------- I have used the letters to denote Field positions (A = 1, B = 2, and so on).
